Beth Rollan

is a multi-talented actor, singer & writer from New York whose experience ranges from soulful jazz singer and Songwriter to  Model and film actor.

As a published songstress and singer, she first became known with the house music hit ‘Wait Forever’ (w/ Dj Tekin and Doruk Ozlen on Defected Records (London, UK). The release had great success internationally on the dance music circuit with further re-releases in Spain, Germany, and Japan whilst gracing over 25 compilations in various countries worldwide.

She then followed up with subsequent dance releases on MAP Dance, Jump Sky Records, and other Indie Labels as herself and under the alias "Naidre York" which started with the Track "Open Up¨.  Quite unexpectedly,  she made a splash in the Dance & Minimal Tech genres as a soulful, jazzy singer - songwriter then ventured to Found a World Wide Music Publishing Company via New york and London that would go on to sign other artists &  Collaborations.  As a Lyricist and singer, She has collaborated with several European Artists in the Jazz, Pop and Rock artists on their songs and Records resulting in Radio & MTV airplay.

In her solo work, she began by playing piano and segued to an acoustic guitar for her first couple of performances in New York City at CBGB's and Starbucks Astor Place singing original songs.  That folksy thoughtful sound eventually evolved through various  musical influences.  As a student, she spent a year abroad in paris and became Inspired by the  great influence and acceptance that  miles davis and Nina Simone had there - visitng la hachette in the 5th arrondissment and monmartre where Nina Simone's career would be reborn later in her life.  As a result one can hear the influences of cool jazz, soul, funk, r&b, Motown, and a bit of classic rock, in sound and lyric, which fuse into what  is now a smooth and groovy  package.

As a voice talent, she's lent her voice to commercials, animated feature films, documentaries, tv animations, traditional radio, Spotify, The BBC, and live action full feature films.

 

As an actor, she ventured into her first on-screen audition by the recommendation of a friend Which lead to being cast as a  video music host (VJ) for a closed circuit tv show.  That role which subsequently lead to the role as the secretary in Monty Python's "Argument Clinic" which opened up the world of  filmed comedy for her.  Around this same time, she was approached to do some catalogue modeling in NYC and took the opportunity to learn and grow before the camera. 

She then took a leap into musical theatre; finding there her tribe and a big latent love for the stage.  She has taken part in several commercials, music videos and films. Most notably,  as Emma’s Publicist in the feature film Grand Piano - directed by Eugenio Mira and written by Damien Chazelle (La La Land, Whiplash) starring Elijah Woods, John Cusack, and Kerry Bishe (Argo).
